The Enhanced Learning Department, or The House as it is known by our staff and pupils, is a safe, warm and welcoming space where pupils can feel comfortable to express their feelings and talk about anything that may be upsetting or bothering them. They may ask to visit themselves or a member of staff may refer them for this support.
The House is a place where you can ask for advice and guidance and the staff have a wealth of knowledge to share. They will signpost to relevant services, websites and agencies, and where needed, you can be assured of their support and confidentiality. In addition to this, they deal with safeguarding issues and are both Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads. Finally, they co-ordinate and help deliver the support offered to our Looked After Children in School.
The aim of the House is to support any pupil from Y7-Y13 to help them feel happy and safe in school and in life.
