Weekly Information - Thursday 6th May 2021
We are fast approaching the end of the month of Ramadan and with it the celebration of Eid, please can we ask that any parents who intend for their children to remain off school to celebrate Eid notify us in advance.
Please email Mrs Keeling [email protected] (years 7-11) or Miss Spurrier [email protected] (6th Form) with the child’s name, year and form group. In your email state clearly that you intend for your child to be absent to celebrate Eid.
We know that there will not be a clear date for Eid until closer to the 12th May but once you know which day your child will not be attending again please email and keep us informed.
We hope to provide as little disruption to Eid celebrations as possible, however if you do not notify us in advance we will follow normal attendance and safeguarding procedures and will be contacting you regarding your child’s absence. If we are unable to contact you on the day this may result in your child absence being recorded as unauthorised.
The following students have been awarded a Hot Chocolate with the Head this week. Congratulations!
Ellisia 7L, Eva 7H, Grace 7O, Lauren 7H, Olivia 7T, Phoebe 7S, Ellie 8J, Isla 8L, Shauna 8S, Finn, 10O, Sarah 10O.
Dear Parent/Guardian,
If you wish to purchase a CGP KS3 Science Study guide to support your child’s revision in preparation for their end of Y7 and Y8 assessments after May half term, they are available to buy on ParentPay for £3. The deadline to purchase these will be 19th May.
Kind regards
Mrs Abbott
Just a reminder that BOTH the upcoming assessments in Maths are CALCULATOR papers. Pupils will need a scientific calculator and all usual maths equipment with them for both assessments:
pen, pencil, ruler, rubber, sharpener, protractor, pair of compasses.
Unfortunately we are unable to lend them out for the assessments so please ensure they have them in advance.
Just a reminder that if pupils want additional practice at home they can use the websites www.century.tech, www.mymaths.co.uk, www.corbettmaths.com, along with any revision guides and workbooks they may have to practice.
Finally may we wish Year 11 all the best for the upcoming Maths and other assessments.
Kind regards,
The Maths Department
Simon Curzon
