The Pupil Journey through JTHS

The curriculum at JTHS is designed around a 3-year KS3, 2-year KS4 and a 2-year 6th form model. The curriculum is a broad and balanced and allows students to make great progress across a range of academic and practical subjects.

Students are taught in six, 50-minute lessons during the day with break between period 1&2 and lunch after period 4. We are currently operating a two-week timetable. All students have a 30-minute registration session with their form tutor each morning in year-based tutor groups, of which one session is allocated as an assembly. Additionally, all students receive tehir statutory RSHE teaching in a Personal Development session that is delivered as a 50 min 'Period 7' on a Friday morning.

The information below sets out our curriculum allocation over a two week timetable.
